Pursuant to Supreme Court rule, the KBA presents the Kentucky Law Update each fall. The Kentucky Law Update gives KBA members the opportunity to satisfy their annual CLE requirement, including ethics, close to home and with no registration fee. New Lawyers Program
January 28-29, 2010 |

All new members of the Kentucky bar are required to attend a two-day continuing legal education program designed to assist with the transition to the practice of law. During the second day of programming, attendees choose programs relevant to their practice areas and interests. Program attendees will receive 12.5 hours of CLE credit, including at least 2 hours of ethics credit. For more information about the new lawyer program or to register, click the link below.
As an alternative, new admittees may register for the June 2010 program that is tentatively scheduled in conjunction with the KBA Annual Convention on June 17-18, 2010, at the Lexington Convention Center.

Brief Insights is a web-based mentoring project, which is a collaborative effort of the Kentucky Bar Association and the KBA Young Lawyers Section. The project consists of short 10 minute presentations on substantive legal, ethical, and law-practice management topics recorded by Kentucky lawyers for Kentucky lawyers. This material is available for free 24 hours per day, 7 days per week as a service to the members of the Kentucky Bar Association. |

While not intended to supplant CLE programs, Brief Insights consists of a collection of short presentations for Kentucky lawyers. Each presentation is approximately 10 minutes in length. This information is available at your fingertips for your viewing convenience free of charge.
This is an ongoing member service project for Kentucky lawyers, and additional presentations will be posted as they become available.
